I’m a Korean American transracial adoptee. In 2025, I received the Jane Yolen & Heidi E.Y. Stemple Scholarship from Boyds Mills (previously the Highlights Foundation) and was selected as a mentee for We Need Diverse Books. Recently I was awarded an Honorable Mention for PB Rising Stars and was a Runner Up in 2024. I’m an alum of the Lyrical Language Lab and former scholarship recipient of 12x12 and Write Now Kidlit. My current memberships include SCBWI and Diverse Verse, through which I co-authored a two-voice poem in Writing Poetry Month by Month: Inspiring the Poet in All Students by Valerie Bolling.

 

I live in the midwest and serve on the Board of Directors for the local Writers Collective where I leverage my experience as a recovering corporate marketer who loves spreadsheets as much as poetry.
