I’m a Korean American transracial adoptee. In 2025, I was honored to be a recipient of the Jane Yolen & Heidi E.Y. Stemple Scholarship from Boyds’ Mills, as well as a We Need Diverse Books middle grade mentee (mentored by Julie Abe). I’m a former PB Rising Stars Runner Up (chosen by Sara Holly Ackerman) and scholarship recipient of 12x12 and Write Now Kidlit. In 2024, I received Honorable Mentions for the Kidlit Chuckle Challenge and Spring Fling Kidlit Contest. I’m a member of Diverse Verse, SCBWI, and a student of the Lyrical Language Lab. 

 

I live in the midwest with my family and serve on the Board of Directors for the local Writers Collective where I leverage my experience as a recovering corporate marketer who loves spreadsheets as much as poetry podcasts.
